Dear 2009 Spring and Summer Graduates of the College of Arts and Sciences,
If you plan to attend the College of Arts and Sciences' spring commencement ceremony on Friday, May 8, 2009 in Thompson Boling Arena and Assembly Center, you must submit an RSVP by Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Many of you have already called or e-mailed me to submit your RSVP (way to be ahead of the game!), but unfortunately, the College only accepts RSVPs submitted to our graduation website. This website is currently unavailable due to extensive revision but should be available within the next couple of weeks. You will receive an e-mail with further instructions when the site is ready for RSVP submission.
The website will also offer thorough information for you and your guests regarding graduation, including such topics as parking, accommodations for persons with disabilities, cap and gown, ceremony details, etc. Thank you for your patience!
~What can you do in the meantime?~
- Double-check--and, if needed, update--your semester and permanent address at Circle Park Online. In the next few weeks, I will be mailing a hardcopy graduation announcement to you inviting you to participate in our ceremony, and this announcement will be mailed to the semester address registered by you at Circle Park Online. Following your graduation this spring or summer, the Office of the Registrar will mail your diploma to the permanent address registered by you at Circle Park Online.
To ensure you receive your invitation and diploma, please go to https://cpo.utk.edu/CPOWeb/enterCPO.jsp. After signing in, select "Change Address" (located to the left). You must change one address at a time and click the "Submit Change" button at the end of that section before correcting the next address. Correct semester addresses are due Wednesday, February 18 for the sending of graduation invitations.
