Dear Spring and Summer Graduates,
***If you are picking up your seating card, tickets, etc. at the rehearsal, make sure you read to the end of this e-mail .***
For graduates able to attend, a rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, May 7 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the James R. Cox Auditorium, located on the second floor of Alumni Memorial Building. Please note! The rehearsal is NOT at Thompson Boling Arena.
Please dress comfortably--this is not a dress rehearsal, and we will not be marching all 1,015 of you across the stage. The rehearsal is moreso an opportunity for us to provide you with information. For example, you will get to see how commencement works, will receive answers to your questions and information concerning the process for crossing the stage (there is more to it than you realize!), and will be notified of critical, last-minute updates. For these reasons, we highly recommend that you attend the rehearsal.
If you are unable to attend the rehearsal, you (or a family member or friend) may pick up the printed materials distributed at the rehearsal between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on May 7 in the Office of the Dean, located in room 26 of Alumni Memorial Building.
If you plan to pick up your seating card, tickets, etc. at the rehearsal, please read the following information carefully:
From 1:30-1:45, we will assist only those students who were unable to pick up their seating cards and accompanying tickets and honor cords on Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28. At 1:45, we may need to break the line so the rehearsal can begin on time, but the items will be available following the rehearsal as well, so no worries if you don't get through beforehand!
Following the rehearsal and until 3:30, we will assist the students listed above and those of you who have received your seating card but still need to pick up tickets, honor cords, etc.
Cards, tickets, and cords will not be distributed during the rehearsal for any reason.
