Participating Faculty
The spring commencement ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9 at Thompson-Boling Arena.
A light breakfast of muffins, pastries, and bagels along with coffee and tea will be available to participating faculty beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Ray Mears Room. Please report to this room, dressed in regalia, no later than 8:15 a.m. A commencement worker will be present to direct the processional. The faculty, led by College Marshal Dr. Thomas Hallam, will march to the assigned faculty seating areas, remain for the entire two-hour ceremony, and exit following the stage party.
Free parking will be available in the G-10 garage adjacent to the arena and in student lots. To easily access the Ray Mears Room, walk through the loading area under Pratt Pavilion. Faculty will be permitted to enter the arena doors in this area. These doors will open directly to the Ray Mears Room.
