Public Engagement

The function of this office is to be a resource to department heads, directors, and faculty interested in developing productive collaborative relationships with community partners.  

The OPE is the administrative home of multiple programs based in the college, including the Tennessee Science Olympiad State Tournament, the Tennessee Regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, Pregame Showcase, and selected STEM Initiatives. The director of the OPE is the college’s liaison to the campus office of Public Engagement and represents the college as a member of the Chancellor’s Academic Outreach and Engagement Council.
